Title Scene Starring Basil Rathbone as Baron Wolf von Frankenstein
Wolf Frankenstein (Dr. Frankenstein's son played by Basil Rathbone) returns to his father's estate with the wife Elsa von Frankenstein (played by Josephine Hutchinson) in Son of Frankenstein. He then continues his father's research and reanimates Frankenstein's monster (Boris Karloff) with the help of his assistant Ygor (Bela Lugosi).
- The character Ygor was not in the original script of the Son of Frankenstein, but because Bela Lugosi needed a job, Ygor was written in.
- Originally filmed in Technicolor, the Son of Frankenstein was changed to black and white in the middle of filming because Boris Karloff's (Frankenstein's Monster) make-up did not look right in color.
