HORROR MOVIE SYNOPSIS

Frankenstein

A mad scientist (Dr. Henry Frankenstein played by Colin Clive) creates a monster (Frankenstein's Monster played by Boris Karloff) using body parts from corpses in this original Frankenstein movie.

HORROR TRIVIA

- The scene where Frankenstein's Monster (Boris Karloff) throws Maria (Marilyn Harris) into a pond was deleted due to a disagreement between Frankenstein's director (James Whale) and Boris Karloff. Karloff thought the Monster should have placed the child into the water, not throw her.

- Director James Whale picked Frankenstein from over 30 other films. Carl Laemmle (founder of Universal Pictures) offered Whale war films, but Whale turned down the offers in fear of getting compartmentalized for his war movies. The irony is that Whale is now known for the most part as a horror director.
