Dr. Frankenstein (played by Colin Clive) creates a female monster (played by Elsa Lanchester Bride of Frankenstein) for his original creation, Frankenstein's Monster (played by Boris Karloff). The Bride of Frankenstein is the sequel to the original Frankenstein movie, and is followed by the movie the Son of Frankenstein.
- Frankenstein's Monster is widely known just as Frankenstein, and in one of the scenes in the Bride of Frankenstein he is referred to as Frankenstein.
- Since the Frankenstein's Monster costume was so heavy and hot, Boris Karloff lost about 20 pounds during the shooting of the Bride of Frankenstein.
